JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The purpose of this job description is to specify the responsibilities and duties of a Area Supervisor at Crystal Clear Enterprise, Inc., Extra Hands Services, Inc. and J S I, LLC. (hereto referred as the Companies)


  1. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
    1. The Area Supervisor reports to the Operations Supervisor
    2. The following positions report directly to the Area Supervisor
    3. Building Supervisors
    4. Building Maintenance Staff
  2. REQUIREMENTS
    1. High school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in supervisory position.
    2. Prefer an Associates Degree in Business Management
    3. Ability to train employees in the use of the basic cleaning equipment.
    4. Must have basic mechanical ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
    5. Must have the ability to control a building maintenance crew and be able to motivate them to their best possible performance.  This position requires a person who commands respect and creates a team feeling among employees.
    6. Mandatory Overtime when requested and/or needed.
    7. Will work some weekends, evenings and days.  Must be flexible and willing to work odd shifts when necessary.
    8. Must remain on call.
    9. Report to the office daily unless otherwise instructed.
  3. WORKING CONDITIONS
    1. The work is primarily performed (50%) in a climate controlled office environment.
    2. Travel is required between the sites assigned to the Area Supervisor.
  4. DUTIES
    1. Assists the Operations Supervisor with his duties, as required.
    2. Manages the start-up of new accounts including scheduling of staff, delivery of supplies, and review of work content with new staff.
    3. Ensures that scheduled work for crews assigned to them is completed within the scheduled hours.
    4. Ensure the periodic work is scheduled and the Special Services Team is notified of the schedule.
    5. Ensure the quality of work meets Company standards.
    6. Strives to resolve any employee issues or incidents at the customer's site.
    7. Advises the Operation Supervisor of any employee problems or incidents at the customer's site he/she cannot resolve.
    8. Ensures all employees properly report their time and begin their shift at the scheduled start time.
    9. Substitutes for absentee employees and completes their portion of the assigned work.
    10. Conducts periodic routine inspections at all sites assigned to him.
    11. Ensures that all reporting employees are busy and productive.
    12. Recommends to the Operations Supervisor all disciplinary actions, promotions, and pay increases for his/her assigned employees.
    13. Ensures that supplies are not wasted and that the cost of supplies remains within budgetary guidelines as established by the Operations Manager.
    14. Ensures employees obey all safety rules and regulations.
    15. Obeys all company rules and regulations.
    16. Ensures that reporting employees obey all company rules and regulations.
    17. Performs any other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Supervisor.
  5. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE 
    The Area Supervisor work will be deemed to be acceptable when:
    1. He/She maintains a good working relationship with co-workers.
    2. He/She meets or exceeds his targets for employee performance measures.
    3. He/She maintains a low employee turnover rate
    4. His/Her crews perform their work to the quality standards of the company as measured by the quality audits and customer surveys.
    5. He/She meets or exceeds his/her targets for labor hours scheduled for the site.
